Few bands have left a cultural footprint quite like The Stone Roses. Their music became the soundtrack to a generation, while their artwork, fashion and attitude helped define an era.
Rather than creating a portrait of the band, this piece gathers together the objects, symbols and moments that tell their story. Every element has been carefully selected to represent a chapter in their journey—from the iconic lemons and paint splatters inspired by John Squire’s artwork to references celebrating Spike Island, Adidas trainers and the unmistakable Madchester aesthetic.
At the centre of the artwork, roses emerge from a globe rather than a vase—a symbol of the band’s influence reaching far beyond Manchester and across the world (and a nod to the inflatable at pike Island!)
