ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
This Is My Church was created as a tribute to Maxi Jazz following his passing, celebrating one of the most distinctive voices in electronic music. Through vibrant colour, expressive digital composition and contemporary styling, the artwork honours an artist whose lyrics and performances became deeply personal to millions of fans.
Beyond the tribute itself, the piece also represents an important stage in my own artistic development. Building upon techniques explored in earlier works, it reflects the growing confidence and visual style that would become a defining part of Neil Pengelly Studios.
Created entirely by hand in Adobe Photoshop without the use of AI, This Is My Church is both a celebration of an extraordinary musician and a reminder of the enduring power of music to bring people together.
