Even Angels Have Bad Days

We often imagine angels as symbols of perfection, strength and guidance. Fallen I challenges that idea by presenting something far more familiar—a quiet moment of vulnerability.

Sitting alone, surrounded by everyday indulgences and subtle acts of rebellion, the angel becomes unexpectedly human. The wings remain, but perfection has given way to reflection, freedom and choice.

Hidden throughout the artwork are references exploring temptation, resilience, individuality and the complexities that exist within us all. Rather than judging, the piece simply asks us to recognise that nobody is perfect, and perhaps perfection was never the point.

Every viewing reveals another layer, inviting the viewer to decide whether this is a fallen angel… or simply one taking a well-earned break.
